Innovative Product Series for Electric Commercial Vehicles from Canotosan

Investing in the Transportation Technology of the Future

Canotosan officially announced its new product series developed in parallel with the growth in the electric commercial vehicle market. The new product family called “E-Line” consists of spare parts and components specially designed for electric trucks, buses and light commercial vehicles.

This comprehensive electric commercial vehicle parts series, which is a first in Türkiye, aims to support fleets transitioning to sustainable transportation solutions. Thus, Canotosan takes an important step by combining its 30 years of sector experience with the technologies of the future.

Innovative Products in the E-Line Series

The new E-Line series offers a wide range of products designed to meet the specific needs of electric commercial vehicles:

• High Voltage Connection Systems: High conductivity connection elements that provide safe operation up to 800V
• Thermal Management Components: Cooling systems and components optimized for battery packs
• Regenerative Braking System Components: Brake system components that maximize energy recovery
• Electrical Powertrain: Engine bearings, gearbox components and connection elements
• Battery Protection and Mounting Equipment: Brackets and protection systems specially designed for safe mounting of battery packs
• Insulation and EMC Solutions: Insulation materials that meet electromagnetic compatibility standards

R&D Studies and Technological Infrastructure

Canotosan R&D Director Prof. Dr. Murat Demir shared the following information about the development process of the E-Line series: “We worked with technology partners in Germany and Sweden as part of our electric vehicle components R&D project that we started two years ago. We invested 5 million Euros in our laboratories and established the necessary infrastructure for the testing and validation of electric vehicle components.”

Canotosan applied for 12 patents within the scope of the projects it carried out with the support of TÜBİTAK for the E-Line series. Innovative solutions developed especially for battery cooling systems and high voltage connection points have received approval at international standards.

Sustainability and Environmentally Focused Production

All E-Line products are produced in Canotosan’s new ISO 14001:2024 certified production facilities in line with sustainability principles. The energy used in production is provided by 100% renewable sources and a significant portion of the materials are obtained from recycled sources.

Canotosan Sustainability Manager Ayşe Yıldız stated: “When producing parts for electric vehicles, we believe that the production process of these parts should also be environmentally friendly. For this reason, we conduct life cycle analysis for all our E-Line series products and minimize their carbon footprint.”

Fleet Conversion Support and Training Programs

With the launch of the E-Line series, Canotosan also launched the “Electric Conversion Support” program special for fleet customers. The program includes:

• Technical training for fleet operators on electric vehicle maintenance
• High voltage safety certification programs for service personnel
• Electric vehicle maintenance workshop installation consultancy
• Special financing solutions for electric vehicle maintenance equipment

offered.

Opinions of Sector Experts

Electric Vehicle and New Mobility Association President Serkan Kartal made the following assessment regarding Canotosan’s new product series: “One of the biggest obstacles to the electric commercial vehicle transformation in Türkiye was concerns about maintenance and spare parts. Canotosan’s comprehensive E-Line series fills a significant gap in this area and is a step that will accelerate fleet operators’ transition to electric vehicles.”

Accessibility and Sales Channels

E-Line series products will be available at all Canotosan dealers and online sales platform as of March 2025. In addition, within the scope of agreements made with electric commercial vehicle manufacturers, services will also be provided as an original equipment supplier.

Future Plans

Canotosan plans to increase its investments in electric vehicle parts to 50 million Euros in the next 3 years and expand its product range with parts developed for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
